Who We Are

We are a non-profit charitable organization incorporated in the state of California. we are tax-exempted as a 501(C)(3) organization with EIN# 94 3233898. We have around 230 seniors as members and are serving the seniors among the Indian immigrants to U.S, with necessary input/help to make them feel at home and also in helping them receive the available facilities from the government.

Our History

A handful of seniors of Indian origin were meeting informally from 2000 and they decided to form an association in 2003. Thus came into existence Indo-American Seniors Association Fremont (INSAF). It was formally brought to life with adoption of the Constitution and Bye-Laws of the association on January 28, 2003. Sri.Tilak R.Kapur, the then General Secretary along with other members present at that time like Ishwarlal Pandya, Surendra Dalal, Pravin Chandra Patel, Dinker Patel and Krishan Gopal Behl were instrumental in forming the association.

Our Current Work

We are presently functioning with a few goals.

1. To make the lives of seniors here more enjoyable by better socialization.

2. To enlighten the seniors with inputs from governmental and civic agencies on the various schemes/facilities available to them here.

3. To arrange free medical check-up programs, periodically, for the benefit of the seniors.

4. To arrange group trips and picnics for entertainment.

5. The city designated Community Ambassadors from our organization helps immigrant seniors to get facilities like Medi-Cal, Transportation, Medi-Care, Naturalization, Cal-Fresh etc.

Our Future

We hope to enlarge our activities for a fruitful engagement of the seniors in the welfare of the society.
